The GoFish Cam attaches in-line between your main line and leader line. When you take the frustrating guesswork out of fishing, it becomes extremely fun for anglers of any age and skill level. A fishing camera is a perfect tool for novices to learn and have fun fishing, and for experts to gain unique intel to catch more fish than ever before.
When properly rigged, you’ll likely get your camera back even if the line breaks. The key is to make sure the line breaks below the camera. Tie the camera between a heavier main line and a lighter leader line. The main line should be at least twice the weight of the leader line to make sure the leader line snaps first.
For added peace of mind, Gofish Cam does offer a 2 years camera loss protection program
Use your GoFish Cam in both freshwater and saltwater environments, and capture underwater video when casting, trolling, bottom fishing, ice fishing, kayak fishing, and float fishing.

How does the LOSS Plan Work?
The LOSS Plan is provides directly by Urban Drones and is very simple. If you lose the camera within 12 months and you can proof that you had the camera in possession the day you lost it, you'll get a new camera sent in the mail at no cost to you. to proof that you had the camera the day you lost it, you can take a picture of the camera the day that you were fishing with proof of date.
WHAT FISHING STYLES CAN THE CAMERA BE USED FOR?
Not at all. In fact, read on below to see how GoFish Cam helps you attract fish. In fact, many of our customers have submitted videos of predatory fish taking bites at the camera!
The GoFish Cam is very easy to attach to a fishing line. There are two ends to the camera. The back end will be attached to the casting line and the front end to your leader line. You can either tie the lines straight to the camera or tie your line to a snap/swivel and use the snap to connect to the camera.
We recommend using a heavy braided test line and a less heavy monofilament leader line. When using the camera for cast & retrieve, we recommend using higher than 30 lbs test line and also recommend side casting versus overhead casting.
It depends on the type of fishing you are doing, the lighting, and the clarity of water. The leader line should be between 2-6 feet long.
The camera is built with stabilization fins. The fins work best when there is tension or drag from both ends of the camera. As long as you’re trolling, reeling in, or battling a fish, you’ll find there is no spinning. The more action, the more stable! The use of swivels and snaps to attach the camera to the line will also make for more stable footage. Additionally, depending how fast you are trolling or retrieving, adding some weight to the main line about a foot in front of the camera will create more stable retrieval.
The GoFish Cam emits its own WiFi signal. The camera works similar to how your house’s WiFi does; when you leave the range of your house, your phone disconnects, and once your phone comes back into range, it reconnects. When the camera comes back into range of your phone, it picks up on the WiFi signal and reconnects. This allows you to review all the footage on your GoFish Cam via the fishing app on your mobile device. The Wifi will disconnect while underwater. If you are cast and retrieving, it will auto connect every time you reel in. If you're keeping the camera underwater longer, it will stop "searching" after 5 minutes. To reconnect then, you'd have to open the camera and press the WiFi button again.
